The brilliant Lovehoney have launched their own range of lubes which I have been given the opportunity to review.
Lovehoney products arrive in plain brown packaging which is always good, as my mother chased the postman down the village for this parcel hoping it was something she had ordered. Would have been embarrassing for her if it had sex products written all over the packaging. That’s what I get for sending products home.
Upon opening the box, my products were not only presented in one of Lovehoney’s gift boxes, which are available in three different designs and are perfectly sized to fit your needs, but also their satin drawstring bags which I am a big fan of. They’re great for storing your sex toys, lubes, etc, and feature the Lovehoney heart on a deep purple bag. The only problem being that I have quite a few of these, so takes me a while to find which bag has what I want in!
The whole range of Lovehoney lubricants are glycerine-free, paraben-free, aspartame-free and made in the UK.
Lovehoney Enjoy is a water-based lubricant which can be used on all your toys, and is suitable with latex condoms.
Contained in what looks like a travel shampoo bottle with a press down lid, the simple packaging reflects the Lovehoney brand. It is simple to open with the push of the button and snaps shut when pushed down securely.
It includes ginseng and aloe vera in it’s ingredient for their soothing and conditioning properties. The clear liquid doesn’t drip easily, has a sleek consistency and a strange taste – that would be the aloe vera! It is also available in a 5ml sachet so you can sample before you buy or use them for when travelling to guarantee no leaking in your bag.
Lovehoney Discover is a water based anal lube. It is thicker than Enjoy lube, but has the same ingredients minus the Gingseng. The clear lubricant has a slight smell, which isn’t unpleasant. It has the same packaging as the Enjoy, but this time orange. As it is for anal use, be sure to use a lot as there is no natural lubricant available. This lube is design to be long lasting so shouldn’t need to be reapplied but keep it near the bed just in case. It is safe for use with condoms or toys.
Lovehoney Delight is a bit different. It’s the first lubricant which I’ve come across which is a cream. I love it! It’s a lot more like your natural lubricant and a little goes a long way. As it’s a cream the ingredients are slightly different but there’s still no nasty ones in there. It also has a conditioning extract of algae as a bonus. It is suitable for use with a toy or partner and is condom safe. The squeezy tube is easy to use with a flip lid, and the lubricant is silky smooth.
Lovehoney Release is another cream lube, much like Delight. As it says on the tube – for men! This is a lubricant for masturbation. You can’t use this lubricant for a posh wank, as it’s not safe to be used with condoms. This is definitely the thickest of all the lubes, and is close to the texture of toothpaste! It also contains almond oil, although it isn’t oily at all. It would be great for massage as well as lubrication.
Lovehoney Fresh is a sex toy cleaner. It is a must have to keep your sex toys clean and germ free before and after use. Just spray on, wipe with a cloth, wash off then leave to air dry. Simple! The spray disperses the cleaner well, and there is no scent left afterwards.
Overall a great range from Lovehoney, why choose just one when you can try them all?
